Peronism is an Argentine political movement and ideology associated with the presidency of Juan Domingo Perón and derived from his programs of the 1940s and onward. It has operated primarily in Argentina from 1945 to the present, functioning through the Justicialist Party as its principal institutional vehicle. It is principally associated with labor union mobilization, state-led economic policy, and a cross-class nationalist orientation distinct from both orthodox Marxism and classical liberalism.
