Thomas Aquinas was a thirteenth-century Catholic priest, theologian, and member of the Dominican Order. He lived and worked primarily in Italy and France, associated with institutions including the University of Paris and the studium at Naples. He is principally associated with a body of scholastic theological and philosophical writings, most notably the Summa Theologiae and the Summa contra Gentiles, which systematically integrated Aristotelian philosophy with Latin Christian doctrine.

Cluster:Ordered Tradition

Tradition & Continuity and Sanctity & Transcendence run high with Authority & Hierarchy elevated, while Non-Maleficence sits low. Continuity is maintained through hierarchy rather than restraint, which is what separates it from Faithful Observance.
