North Korea, formally the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, is a single-party state on the northern portion of the Korean Peninsula governed under a system that combines the ruling Korean Workers' Party with hereditary leadership and the Juche and Songun state ideologies. It has operated in its current form since its founding in 1948, with the contemporary period defined by the leadership of Kim Jong-un, who assumed power in 2011.

Cluster:Mobilized Absolutism

Knowledge & Truth and Care & Welfare show the deepest depressions in the collection, with the procedural Principles low beside them, while Authority & Hierarchy carries the single strongest elevation anywhere in it, joined by Assigned Groups, Security & Stability, and Community & Solidarity. Both sides of the pattern run to their extremes. That depth on both sides is what separates it from Extractive Rule.
